About the Sisters
Mary Immaculate Queen Center is staffed by the Marian Sisters of Mary Immaculate Queen, a traditional Catholic Religious Congregation dedicated to preserving and spreading the traditional Catholic Faith and promoting the message of Our Lady of Fatima
MIQ Center is located at Mount St. Michael, a former Jesuit scholasticate located just north of Spokane, Washington, and consists of a mail order house, gift shop and print shop. The Sisters have taken great pains to make available on this site hundreds of carefully chosen books and religious items for the benefit of souls and to meet the needs of the faithful who cherish the teachings and customs of the traditional Catholic Faith.
If you happen to be in the Spokane area, please be sure to visit us at our gift shop at beautiful and historic Mount St. Michael, which also is a museum and heritage center as well as a parish, convent and private Catholic Academy.
The Congregation of Mary Immaculate Queen was founded in order to provide women with an opportunity to strive for personal holiness through the observance of the simple vows of poverty, chastity and obedience and their Holy Rule. Our Marian spirit is evidenced by our full-length blue habits, complete with Rosary and Miraculous Medal, while our spirituality is based on Total Consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary as taught by St. Louis Marie de Montfort.
Our apostolates include teaching and parish work as well as promotion of Catholic publications. The Sisters staff a K-12 Catholic academy, a print shop, and a religious book store and mail order center in Spokane, Washington, as well as small schools in other parts of the country. In 1979, the Sisters also began making recordings as the “Singing Nuns,” a work which has proved to be a mission as well as a means of financial support. In all these ways, the Marian Sisters fulfill their end and purpose: the glory of God and the salvation of souls.
